Emilio Nanni

Born in Bazzano (Bologna) in 1955 , he graduated in Architecture in Florence in 1983 where he also did teaching activity from 1992 to 1998 and held lectures and workshops dedicated to design in various Italian faculties. He is architect, designer and artist and his works are reviewed in the most important Italian and foreign magazines, blog and sites dedicated to architecture and design, as well as being published on essays on design and architecture. Beyond his activity as architect with interventions in different fields of Italian cities, he dedicates to product- and graphic design, consultancy and business art direction. At the same time he does painting as well. He painted always working on the ongoing search for a balance with the size of the immaterial as opposed to making architecture and design, where the search is within the material. A creative dualism that does not allow definitive solutions, but aims to investigate constantly both on the artistic side and the design front. He held expositions on his own and his works are included in various private and public collections in Italy and abroad. He has been working with Zanotta since 2001.
