Turin/ Zanotta at the exhibition "Dalla Terra alla Luna. L'arte in viaggio verso l'astro d'argento"

Exactly fifty years after the moon landing of the first man, more than 60 artworks among paintings, sculptures, photos, drawings and design objects recount the influence of the silver star on the art and the artists from XIX Century to 1969.
Allunaggio, the object landed from another planet, designed by the Castiglioni brothers in 1965 and put into production by Zanotta in 1980, will be part of the setting. This outdoor seat celebrates the moon landing and is inspired by the frame of Apollo 11 especially in its three tin legs made of tubular bended steel, featuring puck-shaped feet, on which the moulded seat is placed.
The exhibition curated by Luca Beatrice and Marco Bazzini, is organized with the co-operation of Palazzo Madama - Town museum of Ancient art and GAM - Town gallery of modern and contemporary art in Turin, with the contribution of Regione Piemonte.
The displayed artworks come from different Turin museums: GAM - Town gallery of modern and contemporary art, Foundation Accorsi-Ometto, Albertina art gallery and National Renaissance Museum, as well as from important Italian and European museums, institutions and private collections.
