Zanotta, leading firm for Italian design and interpreter of contemporary taste, attended Design Shanghai 2019 for the first time showing furnishing solutions which best represent Made in Italy.

The Far East is a significant market for Zanotta, as proved by the recent opening of a large number of showrooms; in 2018 seven showrooms were launched in China: three in Shanghai, one of them mono-brand store, and other shop in shop displays in Beijing, Qingdao, Shenzhen and Zhangjijgang.

With this Zanotta confirms its key-role in the international spotlight, putting its production know-how, design and technological innovation at the disposal of the Chinese architects, as expressions of that aesthetical sensibility and manufacturing ability that are typical Italian and have been appreciated by the Far East markets for so long.

A selection of the Zanotta collection was on show - stand CG-252 - including design icons of the great masters like Achille Castiglioni, Carlo Mollino, Enzo Mari and Marco Zanuso, as well as more recent pieces developed with renowned designers as the Kim sofa, a soft suspended volume off the ground, signed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba.

Our Gilda armchair, homage to Carlo Mollino 1954, was awarded at the Fair with the "Best of Show".

At the stand was also exhibited the work created in collaboration with the artist X + Q, who has interpreted our Fenis chair (homage to Carlo Mollino 1959) on the occasion of the Chinese Year of the Pig.
